Borland C++ 4.0 Released 12/02/1993 by Borland International For Windows 3.1 Image Quality: Unmodified Borland C++ targeted the professional application development market, while Turbo C++ targeted the home and hobbyist market. Borland C++ included additional tools, compiler code-optimization, and documentation to address the needs of commercial developers. In 1997 Borland C++ was replaced with Borland C++ Builder. This version requires Windows 3.1 or later. BCPP 4.0 drops the DOS IDE. It includes a Windows IDE, Turbo Debugger, Borland Resource Workshop, and documentation files.
